New York friends, please urge Assembly members to Vote NO on A 544.9
The ASPCA’s “Quick Kill” bill sponsored in New York State would allow New York pounds to kill lost pets upon arrival—without any hold period—if pound employees deem the animals in “psychological pain,” which is not defined.
The bill also removes other protections for shelter animals and makes it easier for pounds to continue killing for convenience.
WTF.
This is some PETA style bullshit. Never gonna donate to ASPCA, I suppose. Is the Humane Society a reputable, non-animal murdering,worthwhile charity?
No. They, like the ASPCA, are primarily a money-hoarding operation that lobbies against pretty much anything that would benefit companion animals in so-called shelters. They mislead donors and the public about their activities and spend far more on overhead and stupid trinkets and address labels then they do on animals in need. Give to small rescue orgs.
