Say What Now of the Day: Asked by about Rick Santorum’s stance on social issues, American businessman and principal Santorum bankroller Foster Friess told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell that he doesn’t get American’s “preoccupation with sex.”
Addressing the topic of contraception specifically, Friess said “Back in my days, they used Bayer Aspirin for contraceptives — the gals put it between their knees and it wasn’t that costly.”
According to a Dear Abby column unearthed by Think Progress, this appears to be “joke advice” that some people have unfortunately taken seriously — with inevitable results.
Immediately following Friess’s remark, Bayer’s stock spiked in value, reaching its highest figure in months.

1. EVERYTHING social conservatives say is projection in one form or another.
2. Despite being obsessed with other people’s sex lives they sure are unimaginative about sex positions.
3. Andrea Mitchell is worthless.
